I am a User Experience Designer living in Philadelphia and working for Comcast. I started drawing at the age of four & learned to use different art mediums as quickly as I could get my hands on them. I started freelancing for print & web in 2009, working for a wide range of personal clients & organizations.
I thrive in seeing my visions come to life. I love creating beautiful, logic-driven designs. I can lead you through the full life-cycle of a project — from the early stages of planning & research, through content analysis & information architecture, user experience, aesthetics, & development.
I travel with every penny that I save. When I run out of pennies, running also gives me a great sense of freedom. I have a beautiful puppy named Barley that I absolutely adore.
"Maj and I have worked on the City of Philadelphia's User Experience team together for over a year and she's one of the smartest designers I've had the opportunity to work with. She is great with clients and is keenly aware of the content she's designing for. She meets or beats deadlines and her designs push the envelope and keep us current. Maj is also very flexible and welcomes feedback to make her designs stronger. She can speak up for every component in a design but adapts well when changes are required. I've worked with many designers in my 18 years building websites and Maj is the designer I'd want for any important project."

"I have had the pleasure of working with Maj at the City of Philadelphia, as she is part of the Web & Creative Services group. Maj brings the highest level of professionalism and commitment to everything she does and she is a joy to work with. Maj’s determination, passion and quality of work make it easy for team members, superiors and clients to respect her. I am certain that Maj will succeed in anything she sets her mind to and I would always want to have someone as strong as her on my team."

After I joined the City as Chief Data Officer, Maj worked on the Open Data team and was an indispensable part of the important work we did. We developed a plan to completely redesign the city's website by borrowing the approach used for Gov.UK. Though much of the work on this effort has taken place since I left city government, I know that she's been an integral part of the project. It's really exciting to see where things are headed, and I doubt very much if it would have gotten so far so fast without her. She is someone who is thoughtful, creative and tireless. She knows what its like to work with different parties and through disparate interests to help build a successful project. She is someone any organization would consider an asset.
